GNU Bayonne

Table of Contents

1. Installation

Follow this guide. The project is to test some voip applications behind an OpenSIPS server.

In order to build Bayonne we need to install first :

  • gnu common C++
  • ccAudio
  • ccScript
  • ccRTP
  • oSIP
  • eXosip

I already installed oSIP and eXosip on this post.

Let's install the rest on my Debian 13 aarch64 computer.

First ccAudio :

 wget https://ftp.snt.utwente.nl/pub/software/gnu/ccaudio/ccaudio2-2.2.0.tar.gz
 tar -xvf ccaudio2-2.2.0.tar.gz
 cd ccaudio2-2.2.0/
 ./configure
 make
 sudo make install

Second ccScript :

wget https://ftp.snt.utwente.nl/pub/software/gnu/ccscript/ccscript-5.1.0.tar.gz
tar -xvf ccscript-5.1.0.tar.gz
cd ccscript-5.1.0/
./configure
make
sudo make install

Now ccRTP :

wget https://mirror.cyberbits.eu/gnu/ccrtp/ccrtp-2.1.2.tar.gz
...

I give up after two days trying to compile GNU Bayonne without success. The project is very old and the last version of GNU Bayonne is from 2007. I tried to build it inside a Debian 9 (which is still way to new for 2007) container without success. My machine is an ARM processor which complicates thing a little bit because ARM was very new at that time. Soo, I think it's possible but I should try on a x86 machine with more time.
